EGO

LION-TAILED MACAQUE PRINT EGO EJAZ KHAN EARTH

Early evening- South India.
Figs are supposed to be one of the favorite foods for the Lion-tailed Macaque. There was one fallen on the ground; both of these guys approached the fallen fig at the same time. They looked at it, but without making any attempts of picking it up and eating it, they started to fight. Biting, pulling each other’s hair and kicking. Proving who was more powerful became the focus.
While they were killing each other, a third Macaque came along, picked up the fallen fig and started to eat it. They looked at him but didn’t attempt to stop him. The battle was more about their egos than the fig.
When we handle our differences with egos, no one wins.
