BULL IMAGES SIZE AND FINISH OPTIONS
Norway. Early Evening. I have been traveling to challenging locations around the world. Most of the guides I have worked with have been locals from the area, my age or older.
The first time I met my guide in Norway, I was wary about this young man’s capabilities. His age played a big part in judging him.
We hiked up the mountain in snow and freezing weather. I have a torn meniscus, and my knee acts up if I push my limits. Of course, hiking up the mountain with a 45-pound camera bag and snowshoes, my knee blew up. I ignored the pain while photographing these Musk Oxen, but the minute I packed my bag and started to hike down the mountain, I couldn’t bear the pain. To take a step forward, I had to use my hands to pull my leg up and move it forward; the pain was unbearable.
Sig looked at me and smiled. I had 45 pounds of camera equipment on my back, and I weigh 150 pounds. Sig had his equipment weighing more than 150 pounds. In total, it was about 375 pounds. Sig had me sit on the sled and dragged me for miles so we could get down before it got dark.
I will work with Sig anywhere, anytime, in any condition. Now I know I will be in safe hands.
