MOUNTAIN LION ART SIZE AND FINISH OPTIONS
Chile. Early morning. This was the first day in Chile. We spotted three mountain lions. After following them for an hour, the mother and the cub had disappeared, and we were left with the male mountain lion. He kept looking at us every so often; when he did, we stopped everything and froze. It was clear he was allowing us to get close, but he still kept his distance.
All of a sudden he disappeared; we kept looking for him, but couldn’t find him anywhere. Then, suddenly he showed up from behind a bush. As soon as I saw him, I dropped down to the ground to photograph him. Thinking I was a small animal, the mountain lion started to stalk and circle me.
The mountain lion tracker I was with immediately understood what was going on and told me to get up right away. I refused because I wanted to photograph the mountain lion from a very low angle to show his might and beauty.
When the mountain lion was 10 feet away from me, my tracker had to walk closer for the mountain lion to realize we were together, and I wasn’t so small. At that point, he changed his mind and took off.
As a fashion photographer, I always pay the models. In wildlife, I can not pay the animals, I’ve developed relationships with conservation organizations such as the Wolf Conservation Center and World Animal Protection, A percentage of the sale of these mountain lion prints is donated to these organizations. So when you buy photography from Ejaz Khan Earth, not only do you have an inspiring photo of some of nature’s finest creatures on your walls, but you will also be helping them.
